Digital Twin: Realizing Value through Technology and Culture

Dr. Yogesh is Executive Leader for Digital Twin commercialization at GE Research. Yogesh’s Digital Twin journey over 20 years has spanned broad industry segments – like metals and glass manufacturing, semiconductor, O&G equipment, jet engines, power generation equipment, and medical diagnostic equipment. He has been with GE research for 15 years. After moving to India in 2013, Yogesh has been instrumental in driving GE’s initiative on Brilliant Factory as well as usage of digital technologies to improve design cycles and achieve FTY=1 for new designs (including designs using Additive technologies) for Aviation and Wind Turbine business.

Yogesh holds Masters in Machine Design (IIT-Bombay), Ph.D. in Applied Mechanics (Cornell University, NY) and MBA from Institute of Product Leadership, India). He is certified Black Belt and Innovation facilitator using techniques like TRIZ & Lean Start-up. He has 5 US patents (+2 pending) and 25 external publications including 2 book chapters.
