Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
What is a UI UX design course?
Is this UI UX design course beginner friendly?
What makes this AI UI UX course different from traditional UX courses?
Traditional UI UX courses focus on manual workflows. This AI UI UX course teaches modern AI-powered product design workflows including:
- AI-assisted UX research
- AI-generated wireframes
- Rapid prototyping
- AI design systems
- UX prompting
- AI product strategy
You will learn how leading product teams use AI tools to design and ship products faster.
Which AI tools will I learn in this UI UX design course?
- ChatGPT
- Claude
- Figma AI
- Midjourney
- Cursor
- Miro AI
- Lovable
- v0
Can product managers take this UI UX design course?
Will I build a portfolio in this UI UX course?
Yes. Every student completes a portfolio-ready capstone project designed to showcase:
- UX thinking
- AI-assisted workflows
- Product strategy
- Prototyping
- UI design
- Case study storytelling
What jobs can I get after a UI UX design course?
- UI Designer
- UX Designer
- Product Designer
- AI Product Designer
- UX Researcher
- Product Manager
- Design Strategist
What's the difference between the three courses? Do I need to do all of them?
Each course is completely standalone and delivers a portfolio-ready capstone on its own. You pick the course that matches where you are today — a complete beginner starts with Course 1, a PM or founder jumps into Course 2, an experienced designer goes straight to Course 3. If you want to do all three, they build on each other in a natural progression.
I'm not a creative person. Will I struggle with Course 1?
Design is not about being artistic — it’s about thinking clearly about people and problems. Every skill in this course is learnable. The tools do the visual heavy lifting; your job is to think, research, and make decisions. You will not be the only person in the cohort who has never designed before.
I'm a PM. Should I do Course 1 first or go straight to Course 2?
Go straight to Course 2. It’s built for you — it assumes business and product context, moves fast, and focuses entirely on the AI toolchain PMs need. Course 1 is for people with no product background at all.
I'm already a designer. Is Course 3 too advanced for me?
master-class level for practising designers. It assumes you know Figma, understand research methods, and have professional experience. If you’re a junior designer in your first year, you may find Course 1 or 2 more immediately applicable.
How much time do I need per week?
Each course is 3 hours of live sessions per week for 4 weeks. You’ll also spend time between sessions completing your capstone artefact — budget an additional 2-3 hours per week for that. The structure is deliberately tight because you have a job.
Will the live sessions be recorded?
Yes. All sessions are recorded and available within 24 hours on the LMS. That said, the peer critique and practitioner spotlight elements are significantly more valuable live — attendance is strongly encouraged.
What tools do I need? Will I have to pay for software?
Most tools used have free tiers — Figma, Miro, Claude (free), ChatGPT (free). For Course 3, Claude Pro or ChatGPT Plus is recommended given the volume and complexity of prompting. Full tool requirements are listed per course and provided before you begin.
What is the capstone, and is it actually portfolio-ready?
Yes — that’s the standard we hold it to. Your capstone is evaluated at the level of a professional portfolio piece, not a student project. It’s designed to go directly into your portfolio and to be presented in a job interview or design review the week after you finish.
Can I get employer reimbursement for this course?
Yes. We provide a template you can use to request reimbursement from your manager, outlining the professional value and skills you’ll bring back to your team.
What happens after the course ends?
You join the IPL Alumni Network and, for Course 3 graduates, the IPL AI UX Design Alumni Group — an actively maintained community of AI UX practitioners. Career coaching is available via ipl.coach/career.
