A lot of users of Enterprise SaaS apps are expecting the same level of experience and ease of use as that of consumer applications. While vanity metrics can be easily avoided, it's important to have metrics that matter the most. While solving a problem, start with a hypothesis, look at the data, use it and then make a decision. It's not the best of practices to start without a solid hypothesis.
